About Us All
Formed in 2001 Pathways consisted of Producer/Cameraman Peter Thornton and Writer/Presenter Ray Riches.
We produced 14 DVD's between 2001 and 2018 ranging from walks along canals to documentaries about the towns and valleys of Calderdale. In 2018 Ray retired and Michael Gill took over the presenting with our new film "Aspects of Calderdale" following up in 2022 with Volume 2. Trevor Simpson took over the writing and presenting of the DVD's in 2020 with his first film "My Calderdale" following in 2021 with "My Calderdale Too".
In 2023 Peter teamed up with aerial photographer Mark Sykes from Ripponden and produced "Villages of Calderdale by Air"
which looked at 16 villages both from the air and at ground level with Peter's wife Judith helping with the camera work after Peter moved to being scriptwriter and presenter.
Ray sadly died in April 2022 and Trevor passed in January 2024 but their legacies continue in these films. We hope to continue producing high class films of the Calderdale area for many years to come.
