Ways
Part
1 - Birstall to Haworth
The Brontë Way is a trail of about 43 miles stretching from Birstall near Leeds in West Yorkshire, traversing the Pennines to Gawthorpe Hall at Padiham in Lancashire. 'Brontë Ways' takes us along this walk and visits the many places associated with the lives and literary works of the Brontë family.
Part 1 starts in 'Shirley Country' looking at Oakwell Hall, the Red House and other places which formed the locations for that novel including places connected to the Luddite rioters. It traces the Brontë family through Patrick's ministries at Hartshead and Thornton before the family moved to Haworth.
There are live interviews with people at the various museums
